  • Define each equipment inspection standard: it will include the frequency and sensitive points to watch during the inspection. simple and visual documentation
  • Establish the basic conditions necessary to maintain the equipment in good condition.
  • Formalize the instructions storage of spare parts, cleaning routines and inspections, in order to sustain
  • Define the appropriate maintenance strategy planned to implement by adopting prioritization criteria. These criteria may include: the effect of failures on people and the environment, product quality, the frame rate, the cost of repairs, etc.
  • Select between routine maintenance (periodic preventive), conditional, predictive, or corrective. A combination of these strategies can take place, conform tocriteria defined in the previous step.
  • Implement actions to reduce variability, and extend the MTBF
  • Establish daily inspections, and use standard controls incorporating 5M
  • Implement planned maintenance audits
